Objective: CONCESSIONAIRE FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF MACHAMPANE TOURISM CAMP IN LIMPOPO NATIONAL PARK, MOZAMBIQUE
1.- The National Administration of Conservation Areas (Administração Nacional das Áreas de Conservação – ANAC) invites interested companies with adequate experience in eco-tourism, to apply for the tender for the Machampane tourism camp concession within the Great Limpopo Transfrontier Park.
The Machampane Concession – has an area of 7,000 ha (seven thousand hectares) and is located 27 km from Giriyondo, the Parks’ western boundary entrance gate (and border with Kruger National Park in South Africa) and 41km from Massingir entrance gate. The development focuses on the management and operation of five existing luxury tents, with a capacity of 10 beds, and the expansion of capacity by developing further tourism infrastructure and accommodation (3-4 stars) upto a maximum of 48 beds for the entire concession area. Tourism activities in the concession area may include safari activities such as game viewing, game walks, hiking, canoeing and other activities based on the tourism infrastructure developed.
2.- Interested bidders may obtain further information and review the Request for Proposals (RFP) tender documents at the National Administration of Conservation Areas (ANAC) or Limpopo National Park (LNP) following a 2,500 Meticais or US$ 50.00 equivalent, non-refundable payment to ANAC or LNP.
3.- The period of validity of the proposals shall be 120 days.
4.- Bids shall be delivered to the address below by 13h00 on the 28th of March 2016 and will be opened in a public session at the same address (Maputo Office) at 13h15 on the 28th of March 2016 in the presence of the Bidders who wish to attend.
5- Bids shall be accompanied by a provisional guarantee amounting to 450,000 Meticais or an equivalent amount of US $ 10,000 (in Euros or South African Rands), valid for the tender validity period.
6.- The site visit of the concession is mandatory. For this purpose the Bidder may make the site visit on either 26th February 2016 or 11th March 2016. A clarification session for all bidders will be undertaken on 11th March 2016 in LNP.
7.- The Tender will be governed by the Regulations of the Public Works Decree 15/2010 of 24th May and in conjunction with Law 15/2011 for Public-Private Partnerships of 10th August and its Regulations (Decree 16/2012 4th June).
