The Peace Parks Foundation GLTP Wildlife Translocation Programme aims to increase the number of wildlife species in the Limpopo National Park in order to support the development of its tourism offerings.

The programme began in 2001 with the translocation of 25 elephants from the Kruger National Park to the Limpopo National Park. From 2001 to 2008 a total amount of 4,712 animals were translocated from the Kruger National Park to the Limpopo National Park.
